OpeningCampus at the AdBK Nürnberg

At the beginning of the winter semester the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg bids its graduates farewell with an exhibition which marks both the official end and creative highlight of their degree course. The students, in turn, leave the sheltered academic world to explore new independent creative paths.

The works on show are ascribed a special importance by the students in their development as artists. 28 graduates from almost all classes take part in the exhibition so the entire spectrum of artistic media is given complete expression.  The entire campus becomes a presentation space, as the class pavilions are turned into exhibition rooms and seminar rooms into installations.

GRADUATE AWARD 2017

The 2017 Graduate Award is bestowed on the best works at the exhibition. The prize is donated by the friend’s association of AdBK Nuremberg, the “Freunden der Akademie”. The independent jury is composed of personalities from the national art scene.
