Dandys tauchten seit jeher in Zeiten von Krisen auf, wenn Gesellschaftsordnungen in Frage stehen. In diesen Wendezeiten treten sie als beherrschte Asketen auf die Bühnen des öffentlichen Lebens und behalten einen kühlen Kopf, während alle anderen durchdrehen. Im Durcheinander des Geschehens gelingt es ihnen Haltung bewahren, gerade indem sie aufhören, sie selbst zu sein.
Hans-Christian Dany spricht über die von ihm gemeinsam mit Valérie Knoll in der Kunsthalle Bern kuratierte Ausstellung No Dandy, No Fun und das gleichnamige Buch.

 

Hans-Christian Dany lebt in Hamburg und schreibt am Morgen. Manchmal werden daraus Bücher, wie Speed, Morgen werde ich Idiot, Schneller als die Sonne, MA-1 oder zuletzt Ode to Routine
