Control Room presents several alternative interfaces for the real-time control of a virtual space, which serves as a complement and digital exhibition space accessible to a wider audience in parallel with the presentation at the Akademie Galerie.
The idea originated from the artist’s childhood imagination that all streetlights are controlled from a room full of switches. The control elements are largely handmade works of art that create a connection between the history of traditional craftsmanship and the digital world.
