Zur Eröffnung der Jahresausstellung wurden die Akademiepreise 2024 und der DAAD-Preis 2024 verliehen.
Für die Jury konnten Zippora Elders (Freie Kuratorin), Nele Kaczmarek (Kunstverein Nürnberg – Albrecht Dürer Gesellschaft) und Stephanie Weber (Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau München) gewonnen werden.
Die Jury entschied sich, den Akademiepreis an sieben künstlerische Arbeiten zu vergeben, darunter Einzel- und Gruppenpositionen.

Jury des Sonderpreises FILM & VIDEO 2024 der AdBK Nürnberg waren Annett Stenzel (Werkstatt Maltechnik), Eva von Platen-Hallermund (Basisklasse), Constant Dullaart (Klasse Künstlerische Formen des Digitalen), Bernd Klausecker (Medienpädagogik / Neue Medien) und Anđa Antunović (Studierendenvertretung).
Sie riefen drei Preise aus.
