The start of the winter term also marks the launch of the new exhibition programme at the Nuremberg Academy of Fine Arts. This term, once again, we invite you to a diverse programme of exhibitions offering insights into current artistic practices and projects.
At the Akademie Galerie, Emi Krögel kicks off the programme with her solo exhibition komplettiert – revoltiert – zelebriert: Painting becomes a playing field where intuition and control meet – a tender dialogue and a bitter dispute begin.
On 11 November, the group exhibition Der Krug, die Tischdecke, der Stock opens. Prof. Suska Mackert’s Jewellery and Object Design class explores these three objects and the evocation of specific actions, attitudes or encounters.
Helen Hetzel, Yae In Kim and Alexandru Șalariu will receive the Free State of Bavaria’s Debut Artists’ Grant in 2026. In the group exhibition Verpuppt, they will present works spanning installation, sculpture, painting and performance at the Borgo Ensamble from 27 November to 21 December.
To mark the opening of the Christkindlesmarkt, students from the AdBK Nuremberg and the HGB Leipzig will transform the Akademie Galerie into a bar for one evening on 28 November. Short performative interludes will be accompanied by music, drinks and snacks.
The conference Pointless, Unmonitored, Synthetically Lit, taking place on 14–15 January 2027, explores the freedom of the arts under the conditions of their technical standardisation. At the same time, the Dataset Farmers Market – a weekly market for datasets organised by Prof. Constant Dullaart’s class – will take place at the Akademie Galerie.
Another highlight of the programme is the graduates’ exhibition, which opens on 5 February 27 at 6 pm on the Akademie campus.

The leaflet was designed by Markus Nemeth (class of Prof. Holger Felten). The exhibition flyer was printed using the Academy’s Risograph. Risograph printing is characterised by the fact that the ink is applied to the paper without the use of chemicals.
