on/off campus

Phases

The program runs for two years and is structured by four-week phases taking place in fall, winter, spring and summer on campus at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. These intense phases of collective learning and production alternate with phases in which students are able to research, work and study elsewhere. These on- and off-campus phases compose the “low-residency” character of the program and enable students to develop an independent and international practice beyond the studios and stages of the academy. The two phases of presence at AdBK Nuremberg in the winter semester of 21/22 will take place from October 4th to October 31st 2021 and January 10th to February 6th 2022.
Please note that the exact dates may be subject to change in the case of government measures aiming at containing the SARS Covid-19 pandemic.

Campus

The Live Art Forms Performative Master Program combines intensified phases of presence on campus with long phases of independent study and project-oriented work elswhere. The fall and winter, spring and summer phases of presence at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg focus on the campus as an archipelago of various spacial forms and situations.
